Thursday! Whooo.

So much to do. It's going to be one of those nights...

Wednesday the 13th

Starbucks doubleshot really works.
I can prove it too.
After writing this post, I realized that  the post title is referring to Wednesday.
Did I forget to mention that I can turn back time?

Rainy day. I love to be in the law quad after a storm, when the rain drops are still on the flower petals and everything is quiet.

All of these pictures were taken with Clare's camera because I forgot mine.

Is it okay to have two lucky numbers?

So cold.

So busy.

So...sleepy.

[Week 2] Recap

As the week went by...more and more layers went on.
Funny.

My favorite one of this week is probably #8. My lucky number :)  I really pale yellow + white stripes. I am really drawn towards anything that is in that warm color palette. Yellow VWs, mangoes, sunflowers...yeah.

I love Clare's #6 for this week. I really like the black chiffon skirt and her headband. I think black instantly makes a outfit dressier and more upscale. Also, she was pretty daring for wearing a skirt that day...it was so windy.

Today I went to Wiard's Orchards with J. We ended up with 2 bags of Golden Delicious and Red Delicious apples. I wish the apples didn't cost extra though, it should be included in the tickets.  I also bought some apple cinnamon donuts and fresh apple cider. Hot apple cider in this chilly fall temperature will be delicious! There were so many cute little kids there (probably there for the petting zoo and games. haha)

We also walked around the corn maze. Just imagine going there in the dark.
Scary. I would never find my way out.

I wore several layers today because it was so cold...it looked okay when I put it on in my room.
Question of the day: do you punch someone when you see a:
VW beetle, a yellow car, or a yellow VW beetle?
happy fall.

Today I went to farmer's market with my friend. We both woke up late but still made it to the market before brunch time. It was my first time going to farmer's market even though I've lived in Ann Arbor for 10 years. Crazy, huh.

It definitely felt like fall today: the temperature, color of the leaves. I love it. The air was so fresh and crisp.
I bought two stems of sunflower. IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY! My friend told me I totally acted like a 10 year old when I got the flowers. lol. I love the sunflower's color palette. We were walking around carrying the flowers and almost everyone who saw us smiled. How can you not, right? I wanted to buy the tomatoes that were in the little red baskets (see above), but I just wanted the basket itself, not the content. Because the tomatoes will probably go bad before I even begin to eat them. The woman would not sell me the basket though :( She even said the basket was worth more than the tomato.
We had lunch at Sparrow Market. I got the ABLT (Okay, they totally lied on the menu. I thought avocado was going to be actual slices of avocado...but no, it's just a spread :( )
I also bought a bottle of EVVO seasoned with fresh basil. I am going to make some delicious pasta with that later. :) So excited.

09.24.10 | friday

No outfit picture today :( But here are some photos I took throughout the day.

1. Lunch I made for myself - it was yummy
2. $1 sunflower plant from Target!! I "planted" it a weekish ago? I'm so happy that it didn't die  - I was never able to keep any plant alive...because I usually forget to water them but this one doesnt seem to need to be watered everyday, so that's good. I need to get bigger pot + soil to transfer it.
3. A pen I've had since elementary school...? It is scented :) If you can't tell, I had to tape the middle shut because it is broken.
4. Dinner - spicy pho. almost as good as my lunch. lol.

I have a thing for noodles.

P.S. I need to get moisturizer. I hope Sephora will have the Clinique Moisture Surge as a Skincare Challenge reward sooooon. Ugh. Should've gotten it when they had it. -.-

Today was SO SO SO hot.
I took a nice afternoon nap. :) Then drank some British milk tea. Why is it that I never feel like drinking when I am working and can get it for free...sigh. It's always the case that 24 hours later, when I am not working, I crave it.

I really like the Jewel Petals Flower ring I got at Forever 21.
Reminds me of JCrew. But at 1/6 of the price.

I made the skirt following the same pattern as my other one

The lighting is bad in this picture.

I have nothing to write for this one.

Happy Mid-autumn Festival!
Miniature mooncake from Lola.

Alright. Today's weather was ridiculously warm...so of course I stopped by Starbucks when I was going to meet Clare and work my way towards my personalized gold card (only 4 more stars needed! I think).

I am starting to get lazy (can you tell?) with mix/matching items of clothing and it's only day 6.

[Week 1] Recap

Week 1 of 30 for 30...not bad :) It was hard to think up of outfits at times, especially with lack of sleep + the dramatic weather change throughout the day.

I think my favorite outfit of the week is...Day 4. I love love love the blue cardigan from Martin&Osa. I wear it too much. Although this outfit looks okay in the photo, I definitely felt self-conscious when I was walking around campus - a blue smurf, in leopard printed flats. Yep.

Now...picking out my favorite from Clare's week 1.

Winner: Day 3!

I really like this outfit because it is so feminine, especially with the sequins. Good job jcrew. I love the colors. soft peachy pink + gray...so pretty. the picture does not do it justice. Plus - she wore it on a rainy day, so she gets bonus points.

i love weekends
i wish they lasted forever

my outfit today is very fall-ish. i look like a pumpkin, on halloween.

today i went to comet coffee for the first time with one of my friends. i've heard good things about the place and decided to try it out. i got cappuccino, but since i am not a coffee drinker, i couldn't really tell the difference between this place and starbucks. although the cups they serve it in is adorable :) i would definitely go back and try the hot apple cider later on in the fall :)

4!

I realized that the lighting in my room is very different from natural light...The colors kind of clashed when I left home for the art museum. I really really like this cardigan - the color & length. I wish I bought more before AE discontinued their Martin/Osa line.

Oh, and these leopard printed flats will be my #30.

Confession: I shopped :( but it was totally necessary as I do not have any black pumps for job hunting.

3!

Rainy rainy day.

I don't have my rain boots with me so I wore these. My socks kept on slipping off inside. Ugh.
This image makes my legs look deformed.

*yawn*

2

I am procrastinating already!

I don't really have time to write much. So I will just post my outfit.

I made this skirt following Tania's (What a Nerd Wears) tutorial. You can find it here. I modified it because I didn't want pockets but it was fairly simple to make. Just remember to choose the right type of material so it doesn't wrinkle  easily...(oops. need to keep this in mind).

I have three layers on top because of Michigan's very unpredictable weather. It was COLD this morning, low 50s? Ugh. What is wrong with this weather. I like my surroundings to be consistent, at least for periods of time.

The lighting on the 6th floor of the business school is always amazing :)

Okay. Got to go.

Bye!

i was so tired from working last night that i couldn't think of any good outfit for the next day. maybe i need to plan two days ahead of time. anyway, at 1 am, all i could think about was that i need to wear something comfortable on my feet that doesn't give me blisters. the $9.95 jeans from h&m fits surprisingly well. now only if i am 2 inches taller...

30 for 30

Going to try out Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge with Clare. It is where you choose 30 items of clothing and mix/match it into outfits for 30 days. I actually didn't choose that many neutrals this time - probably a huge mistake...We'll find out! :)

No shopping for a whole month. I wonder if I'll be able to keep that up.
