I have always been a fan of fashion - I love sitting at a coffee shop on a sunny afternoon and just people watch (mostly just to see what people are wearing).
I started this blog during my senior year at school with a friend after following other bloggers like (Clothed Much and Kendi Everyday). I was inspired by Elaine's style and how resourceful she was. While I was in college (and even now), I definitely didn't have all the money in the world to buy whatever I wanted. I used to make a lot of impulse purchases but then I realized that they ended up in the back of my closet and I was just wasting my money...so now I am trying to be more resourceful with what I have and only buy pieces that fit well and that I can mix and match with the rest of my wardrobe. While I do not mind spending the money on a quality piece of clothing once in a while, most of the time I try to look for a good deal. Also...I am a petite with a 24 inch waist and most of the time it's really difficult to buy clothes that fit, especially bottoms. This blog has definitely helped me see which pieces fit better (photos never lie! :)).
"a field of daisies" - I chose this blog name because daisies are my favorite flowers ever since I saw the Korean movie Daisy (it was very well filmed). I loved the scenes where the fields seemed to stretch on and on for miles under the blue sky....The flowers are so cheerful and they make me so happy. I hope that one day I will get to visit somewhere like that.
Right now some of my favorite retailers are : J.Crew, Madewell, H&M, LOFT, Club Monaco, and Banana Republic. One reason why I love H&M, their size 2 fits me perfectly without tailoring - better than designer! It's the only place where I have been able to find suits (pencil skirts especially) that fit. Seems like that's the only store that hasn't suffered size inflation.
Here are my measurements for reference:
Height: 5'3", Weight: 97 pounds (plus/minus 2 pounds), Waist: 24 inches, Inseam: 30 inches (without heel)
