Perfect Summer Days

Tank: Abercrombie and Fitch
Shirt: J.Crew
Pants: H&M
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Minnetonka
Wallet: Kate Spade
Bag: China

Belt was only $1.99! It's actually only big enough to go around my waist and I can't wear it like a normal belt...which is fine because usually belts are too long for me. Mmm. I really like this bag that my dad got for me from China a couple years ago. The sequin pattern in the front is really pretty. Too bad the inside is falling apart from over use :( . I took a picture with the wallet just so you guys can see what the color looks like under natural light. Its a very pretty lime green color but in the sun / in pictures it looks more yellow.

Today's weather was just perfect. Not a single cloud in the sky, hot enough to wear a tank and shorts (but I didnt think it was too bad with this shirt on), not humid...Sigh.

Impressionism.

Shirt: China | Cardigan, Belt: J.Crew | Jeans: H&M | Scarf: Gap | Shoes: Minnetonka

I got this scarf yesterday at Gap (see item) - I love the blue colors! Gap calls it the 'Impressionist print scarf' and it totally brings back memories of my high school days, when I took an art history course and spent hours memorizing paintings. Impressionism was definitely one of my favorite periods because the paintings were less detailed, yet you can still make out the subjects. I also really like the material of this scarf...it's so soft and hangs nicely.

Anyway! I tried the whole belting the scarf look today. Not sure if I like it - the scarf didn't really stay under the belt - maybe because it is too short, or I did not belt it tightly...or both.

Pearl and Coral

Tank: Kohl's
Shirt: American Eagle
Cardigan: J.Crew perfect mix tape
Leggings: Marshalls
Shoes: Minnetonka

This is a pretty casual outfit. I think leggings automatically makes an outfit 50% more comfortable. I got this tunic/shirt from AE two years ago when I still had my 40% off coupon from there every three months. I loved the material - it feels so light and soft, perfect for the summer. That season, a lot of their clothes were made in this material and in vibrant colors. These leggings were the new ones I recently purchased - I do like it a lot, but it doesn't stay up perfectly well - it slides down a little, maybe a centimeter or two?

I really really need to come up with other color combinations besides coral/navy -.- it is beginning to become my default. I can probably do a 30 for 30 challenge with just these two colors.

Flower power

Floral again...It seems like whatever style that was popular in Asia becomes popular two years later in the States. I got this floral printed dress in China a couple years ago but I have only wore it several times. The patterns seemed too girly/flowery/Asian at the time and now this type of pattern is everyyyywhere. It's a dress but it's quite short so I would never wear it without tights/leggings. I really like it though, and it was pretty cheap....(I forget the exact price)

I've been wearing this cardigan way too much these days, but it's the perfect cardigan for the spring-summer transition. It is very light weight and the dark plum-brown color goes with pretty much everything.

Dress: China
Leggings: Express
Cardigan: J.Crew

23 * 24

Oh, and I returned the JCrew Ever Peacoat...the shape was not very flattering (the website lied...). Instead, I got the Stadium Cloth Elements Coat. I really like it. (It looks too big on me in the pictures though). I especially like how the hood doesn't stick out that much.

Wednesday the 13th

Starbucks doubleshot really works.
I can prove it too.
After writing this post, I realized that  the post title is referring to Wednesday.
Did I forget to mention that I can turn back time?

6

Happy Mid-autumn Festival!
Miniature mooncake from Lola.

Alright. Today's weather was ridiculously warm...so of course I stopped by Starbucks when I was going to meet Clare and work my way towards my personalized gold card (only 4 more stars needed! I think).

I am starting to get lazy (can you tell?) with mix/matching items of clothing and it's only day 6.

i love weekends
i wish they lasted forever

my outfit today is very fall-ish. i look like a pumpkin, on halloween.

today i went to comet coffee for the first time with one of my friends. i've heard good things about the place and decided to try it out. i got cappuccino, but since i am not a coffee drinker, i couldn't really tell the difference between this place and starbucks. although the cups they serve it in is adorable :) i would definitely go back and try the hot apple cider later on in the fall :)

i was so tired from working last night that i couldn't think of any good outfit for the next day. maybe i need to plan two days ahead of time. anyway, at 1 am, all i could think about was that i need to wear something comfortable on my feet that doesn't give me blisters. the $9.95 jeans from h&m fits surprisingly well. now only if i am 2 inches taller...
