good eats (or not) from weekend & it's already monday?

saturday night had dinner at california pizza kitchen. we had baby clam linguini with lemon cream sauce and vegetarian w/ japanese eggplant pizza. they were actually surprisingly good. i especially liked the sauce they used for the pasta.

i tried (for the first time) to make pancakes from scratch sunday morning. never again. it didn't taste bad...but the only parts of breakfast that were presentable were things i didn't have to make myself - bob evans sausage + philsbury biscuits...yum. i can't flip the batter and i'm not sure if its because of the ingredients i had to substitute in the recipe.

what i wore today:

i had no idea my hair looked so brown in the sun...

this morning, i realized i don't really need more nautical themed clothes, so disregard the previous post, because i have more than enough navy/white/striped pieces in my closet. i changed my outfit twice today, the first one was more summery/nautical and i feel like i need to be on a white sailboat in the Caribbean or going to the beach to wear it. and.....since i am not doing either of those, i had to change into something more uncreative/normal looking

i still want a floral printed scarf though. i have nothing floral (okay, maybe one, but its more fall than spring)

I really like the cardigan...it's so big + comfy. I got it at one of those vintage thrift stores last winter. 

It's raining right now. Sometimes weather accurately reflects how people's emotions...

Rainy rainy day.

I don't have my rain boots with me so I wore these. My socks kept on slipping off inside. Ugh.
